Background

The statue of Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor) stands on Corcovado Mountain in the south of Rio de Janeiro. The statue itself is 30 meters high, the socket is 8 meters. It dates back to 1931.

Our KEIL undercut anchors fasten the cladding of a chapel in the statue's socket.

The statue has been considered a place of pilgrimage since 2006 and one of the new seven wonders of the world since 2007.
